'In the light of Darkness ' is a wonderful novel by Radhika Tabrez and really a great one considering it is her debut novel. An enchanting tale set in a fictional place,next to the sea, Bydore comes alive as the characters Susan,Colonel Bindra ,Deena ,Suhana and Meera are depicted as emotional,humane,loving and deeply rooted in their love of the place. Manaav and Vidushi's relationship with each other and Matthew adds a new dimension to the plot. 
There are many relevant issues about women that are raised in the novel subtly and yet strikes a chord in the reader's heart making us wonder about our attitude towards women . Susan's love for her son and Matthew's acceptance of his mother's predicament comes only after a tragedy that strikes Susan. The dilemma's of Matthew and Meera , finding of their love for each other and their desire to reach out for a good cause in the orphanage almost has a fairytale quality, which reinforces the reader's faith in the goodness of human beings and their intentions.The languge is lucid and evokes sensory images in our mind making us visualise the wonderful places .
Radhika you truly are a great storyteller who I am sure will spin many more such wonderful tales ! Waiting eagerly for your next novel !
