The novel, is a touching tale of human relationships which seem damaged and lost without recourse; and yet, a story how they manage to seek their redemption. It is a story of how, even when all hope seems lost, a new life is just a turn of a page away; waiting to surprise us, if only we can muster the courage and the will to turn that page.
Radhika’s writing has been called fresh and endearing; something that gently pulls the readers inside the folds of the book. And before they know it, they are far too engrossed than they would have ever imagined. Radhika’s expressions are simple, yet nuanced and deep; something her fellow writers often compliment her about.
Noted Theatre Actor and Director, Aamir Raza Husain, called the book “A must read…”.
Before her foray into writing, Radhika was a Learning and Development professional with over twelve years of experience spanning ITeS, Travel, Telecom and BFSI sectors, during which she held many senior management positions. She is an MBA in Human Resources from SIBM, Pune; where she went on to become the first and till-date the only female to be elected as President of the Students’ Council.
The corporate life that ensued post academics wasn’t bad either; except that often during the meetings at work, just as it had been at the lectures in college; her truant mind would escape to the world of stories she longed to tell. It soon got to the point where she realized that the only things she really cared about were… well, those voices in her head! Soon, those voices and her newborn son fought a heroic battle to wean her away from the corporate life. As 2012 drew to a close, the battle was won. Motherhood and love for art triumphed over reason and industry, and she finally quit her job.
She is now a mother, a writer, a writing coach and a freelance trainer. She lives a quiet life in a small town called Unchahar, with her husband, son and four birds. She is currently working on a novella series with two other phenomenal women writers and on her second novel.
She is also an active member of the Kalam Library Project.
